1. What is Glutathione?

The Easy Answer:

Glutathione is a powerful antioxidant that the body produces itself to protect against things like cancer, heart disease, and even wrinkles by ushering toxins out of our body. This “master antioxidant,” “mother of all antioxidants,” and “fountain of youth” (as many have touted it) has a supreme ability to flush the liver, slowing the aging process and providing a boost of energy as it does so.

The More Complex Answer:

Glutathione is a combination of three proteins or amino acids: cysteine, glycine, and glutamine. These proteins act as a magnet with free radicals, toxins, and heavy metals within the body, which Glutathione then carries through and then out of the body through aprocess called “conjugation.” Glutathione is normally recycled within the body, but if the toxin level is too high, the glutathione leaves your body along with all of the toxins we are exposed to everyday, leaving our bodies defenseless against infections, free radicals, heart disease, cancer, etc. And herein lies the problem and the need for us to find external sources of glutathione.

How to Get More Glutathione:

Glutathione is available in many sulfur-rich foods such as: garlic, onions, cabbage, collards, cauliflower, etc. So, you may be asking You may be saying, well I will just eat more of these foods. And, you should because eating well is the cornerstone to good help, and eating glutathione-rich foods will help increase glutathione in your body; however, you will have to eat a LOT of these foods over a long period of time to see real results.

You may then say that you could take an oral glutathione supplement to increase the levels and your absorption rate; however, while oral glutathione is available, only about 20% of the drug is absorbed by the body. And, many of the oral supplements include a host of other ingredients that should be avoided.

Physical exercise definitely boosts your glutathione levels, so it is very important to do at least 30 minutes of exercise per day. But, there is an even easier way to boost your glutathione–one that has been available to celebrities and the super-rich for a very long time (reaching upwards of $900 a treatment) but is now readily available and affordable at RevitalIV.

Intravenous Glutathione:

As just mentioned, glutathione IVs have been used for a very long time by atheletes, celebrities, and people lucky enough to afford things like preventative oncology treatments (yes, it’s a thing in which glutathione IVs are used frequently). But now, this treatment, which increases your glutathione absorption rate exponentially, is available as a Vitamin Booster in any RevitalIV Hydration IV.

Glutathione IV treatments are used to treat two extremely serious diseases: Parkinson’s disease (click here for a great video from Dr. Permlutter in Naples, FL talk about glutathione IVs and Parkinson’s) and HIV/AIDS treatments (because it so greatly enhances the immune system). But, it is also used to treat less serious conditions and as a preventative measure for things such as AGING, athletic performance, and skin disorders, such as melasma and sunspots (glutathione lightens the skin). However, IV treatments with this powerful antioxidant have many benefits. Let’s recap.

Benefits of Glutathione:

  • Immune system booster
  • Aids in systemic detoxification
  • An amazing antioxidant that fights free radicals, heavy metals, and toxins in the body
  • Is used to treat serious diseases and to prevent others
  • Reduces acne, age spots, and other skin blemishes — resulting in flawless, radiant, and youthful looking skin
